this has to be the largest Queen Anne Lace I have ever seen. It was at least 4 or 5 inches across and was really beautiful in the early morning sunshine.
Just as Yeast leavens the lump (causes the flour mixture to increase in size), to make bread, so do we hope that our efforts will help increase the "lump" of genealogical information for those who seek their ancestors. Not just collecting names, but rather preserving records of people whose descendants seek them.

Sunday 1 July, 2012, Riggs Brook Lane. Augusta
In the center of this picture is a blade of grass going horizontally across this picture and on the end is a baby Orb Weaver. I was walking along the trail and saw the puff of pollen release into the air from a shaking piece of grass that runs diagonally across this picture in back of the blade of grass. I looked closer and saw a baby Orb Weaver trying to make his web between the two pieces of grass and he was covered in pollen. I only had my Iphone camera with me and so it does not show up well. Nevertheless, he is on the end of the blade of grass and is trying desperately to make his web so as to catch an insect that is hopefully smaller than he is. If it is a larger insect, then I am afraid that his little web will be tattered as soon as it hits.

Chicory is pretty and blue and this plant was spectacular. I am sad that this does not grow in Arizona.
