We went to see the installation at the Yale University Gallery.
An African mask. Perhaps a rendition of a bad hair day?
some serious ear rings from the African exhibit.
Another face mask with two smaller head representations. the bottom right object is a spoon - I guess it is large enough to be a one scoop meal.
these African figures reminded me of the Japanese 7 Happy Gods that ride through the sky and bring their blessings to mankind.
Pottery at the African exhibit.
A beaded picture at the African installation.
We always have to eat and this establishment seemed to be the only one open on this particular Sunday evening.
Waiting for our food. After we had eaten, we met a family who were looking at the menu and trying to decide if this was the place to eat. they were from Colorado. The mother was a librarian and so she and Sara got into a good conversation. Bill and I and David talked to the father about Genealogy. He is a descendant of the Shoshone Indian tribe. We had a delightful time talking to this family.
The outside of the Yale Art Museum.
An archway across the roadway at Yale. The architecture of these buildings is magnificent. They don't build buildings like this anymore.
We think that these are classrooms at Yale. There was no sign to say otherwise.
the clock tower at Yale. My camera is not able to zoom in to take details but this clock tower is worth studying to appreciate the grandeur of the architecture.
this arched window is representative of the windows at Yale. They are not stained glass windows like in a church, but have the stonework delineating the window margins.
It is too bad we could not get closer to take a better picture of this archway. The whole set of buildings put one in memory of an ancient castle. I wonder what the upkeep costs are?
Had to take this picture because it confirmed that we were at Yale - at least once in our lifetime.
