For those of you who read this blog, if you are in any way offended, please keep in mind that this is my blog and perhaps not a reflection of your particular political and religious stance. In any case, if you do choose to read it, it begins with the bottom post from my friend Judy Grimes in Australia regarding the 60th jubilee of Elizabeth Regina II, Queen of England. Then, from that email up to the top of this page is a series of questions and discussions that cross religious and political views.
We accept the Book of Mormon as a record of God's dealings with the people who lived anciently on the America continent(s) and their political upheaval's are also recorded in this book. We regard this book as a Holy record, a second witness for Jesus Christ and his mission to the people of the world.
Truth stands alone and independent of any and all postulations of mankind and unfortunately to many people the truth is hard to bear. However, it is our duty to search the scriptures, all of them, to prepare ourselves for the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and happenings in the world are pointing to the eventual culmination of that great event.
EMAIL DISCUSSION stemming from the statement of Judy Grimes in Australia.
Post from Juli Dalton: 6 June 2012.
I am on the same page with you for sure on that one.
And how about this one:
1 Ne 22: 10-11
And I would, my brethren, that ye should know that all the kindreds of the earth cannot be blessed unless he shall make abarehis arm in the eyes of the nations.
11 Wherefore, the Lord God will proceed to make bare his arm in the eyes of all the anations, in bringing about his covenants and his gospel unto those who are of the house of Israel.
You and I have touched on this
one before when you have made the astute observation that wherever the
American Army has been, the Gospel has sprung up in its wake. This is
not a coincidence. Elsewhere (in Isaiah, 3 Ne, Mosiah, and the D&C)
the slightly different phrase "shall make bare His Holy Arm" is used.
This leads me to believe that The Lord uses two arms, or appendages to
accomplish His purposes. The first... just "His arm" may refer in part
to the secular military might of the gentiles who inhabit the Promised
Land. (The United States).
The second, Holy Arm, I interpret to be The Priesthood of God, which, of course, operates under His personal direction.
It is sort of like the distinction
that is made in 2 Ne 12: 3 where Nephi refers to both a temporal and a
spiritual salvation that is to go forth from the Promised Lands of
America and Jerusalem:
out of Zionshall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
President Hinckley and
others had explained that this refers to both the Gospel (the Word of
the Lord) and the US Constitution (The Law).
Once again, the Lord accomplishes his purposes in the Earth both through
the political entity known as the United States (as long as we remain
righteous) and the Church itself.
I love this stuff. I could go on all night!
Love you, too!

Juli Poo, when the scriptures say that the Lord will thrash the nations with his armies, is it not possible that the army of the USA (the promised land) is the Lords army and he is using it right now to thrash the area where Abraham dwelt?Just a thought.love ya,Beverly

It would be just like the Lord to hide something in plain sight. I certainly would buy it. If The Father and The Son can visit a plow boy in a forest, then anything is possible.
I do think that the Brits tend to "worship" their royalty too much, but I would not be a bit surprised if there was something to the claim that the Royal Family can trace its roots back to at least the House of Israel if not Judah itself. And what about the scripture in 2 Ne and Isaiah that declares that in the last days Kings shall be their nursing fathers and queens shall be their nursing mothers? It is clear to me that England and by extension the Anglo tradition was for centuries incubator to all of the principles of Liberty which America eventually put into practice. Principles such as the sanctity of property rights, representative government, and natural law came from Britain and the application came through the America Colonies and from there to all the world. Sounds like a fulfillment of prophesy to me!Juli

Andrea and Juli, what do you think of this one? Judith is my one time room mate at CCH.I would appreciate hearing your take on the claim that the Queen is a descendant of Judah's house. How would the Archbishop of Cantebury, who is head of the Church of England under the Queen (who is lauded as the real head of the Church of England) feel if he got any inkling that the Queen was actually Jewish descent as my friend says.PLease let me know your take.love Beverly----- Forwarded Message -----

You know my American friends, this weekend we have celebrated a great lady’s life as monarch of England. She and her family help to fulfil prophecy that the House of Judah would providing the kings until Shiloh come. The royal house in England does that. The Scottish make a great deal about the stone of scone . It comes from Solomon’s temple. David’s throne , as it is called, an old wooden thing still exists in England. This empire of which I am a part also belongs to you. We are democracies under the commonwealth of Nations. Each of your original States were and are called commonwealths just as our country and states are named. I live in the Commonwealth of Queensland within the Commonwealth of Australia. This is a celebration of the goodness of our God and that he keeps his promises. The Tea party in Boston caused you to leave this commonwealth. I hope the current tea party brings your country back from the brink as the common people seek the correct wealth. This woman, Queen Elizabeth has been a constant for 60 years in this world of turmoil. She sets an example of dedication and service to the people. For me she stands beside the prophets and apostles in her commitment to good. Her influence is quiet but true. The sun still does not set on her empire and it is her influence that has kept it together and stopped the nations of that commonwealth from going to war with each other that they would otherwise have done. Her grandson William will one day serve in a similar way. He is of the same calibre. I suspect he will have a great deal to do with the preparation for the second coming. We of Ephraim have become a multitude of nations but Judah is the lions whelp and now maybe an old lion – the symbol of monarchy but God said the sceptre shall not depart from Judah until Shiloh come, so at some time a King or Queen of Judah’s House established in Britain must hand back the earthly throne to Christ. Great Britain through the Plantagenets has that Judah blood. Thanks for letting me ramble.CheersJudy
