Flooded Kennebec

This was the parking lot for the park a few days ago.

We have had 4 days of rain and the Kennebec River has responded appropriately - it has done just what any good river would do - it has flooded.
we went to dance class last night and went down to the river to see what was happening - took these pictures among others and the river was flowing really really fast.  They are expecting it to flood even more.
Well, this morning when we came to the archives, we saw that the river was higher this morning than it was last night.
I feel sorry for the towns downstream - they have more effect of the tide than we do and it is full moon and that means full tides...............
