Today was a momentous day. we finished the last of the Kennebec county Court Records for the Supreme Judicial court. Bill went down to second floor to see about getting the court docket books so that we can digitize them and up he came with Art and a trolly carrying 6 very sadly worn books. the first one dates from 1800 - that is 212 years ago. I guess I will look like this book when I am 212 years old. All jokes aside, the writing in these books is spectacular. some of them even have an index and that is a real find.
As we were leaving the archives today it started to rain. we had a fairly dry day today and at lunch time, after I came back from my haircut appointment, I took pictures of the Iris clump in the capitol garden. they have the fountain going now and it is quite a pretty little parklet that they have made. Some people were out eating lunch under the trees.
I dropped Bill off at the YMCA and then I went over to FedEx to drop off the shuttle. We are hoping and praying that this weeks shuttle also gets passed with no re-works. By the time I left FedEx it was raining pretty hard and was at 'soaking' level when I got to the YMCA.
I went in and did some walking while Bill finished off his routine.
Sue mentioned last night that there was a chance we could go and find a Moose - a real moose, not the one at Kennebunk interchange down south. That sounds really exciting.
