Boothbay is a working port and here are some Lobster (Lobstah as they say it here) traps on the back of a boat.
More Lobstah traps.
Boothbay Harbor from the boat dock.
a restaurant at waters edge. Note the water line up the pylons. when the tide is in, it is up to this level. We were there when the tide was out.
Looking back to the land from the end of the floating dock.
One of the Whale Watch ships getting ready for the tourist season.
when we read this sign, we wondered if Cap'n Fish supplied his own whales for the sightings. Puts one in mind of the movie "JAWS".
A shopping street in Boothbay Harbor. 90% of the shops were closed until the season begins on Memorial day.
A beautiful home which is a hotel in Boothbay Harbor.
the tugboat restaurant in Boothbay Harbor.
Perhaps if Harry Potter was here, this would be the conduit to use to go to the Ministry of Magic. Unfortunately they had it padlocked - perhaps too many Potter heads have been here trying to use it.
Bill, outside a place that showed lots of flags etc. for sale. These cute little animals were out front. We went in only to find that it was in reality a head shop and delved into the witchcraft stuff. I was surprised to see them selling marijuana mix stuff as well as bong pipes etc. How brazen. They said in signs all over the shop, absolutely no photo's to be take with cell phones. I can see why - most of their stuff was against the law anyway. What If I took a picture of the forbidden stuff - would that foul up my cell phone forever?
Could not resist taking this number plate on a green Toyota.
