I had seen the sign for Black Eyed Susan's a number of times, but decided that on my walk, I would explore and see if it was not too far away from home. turns out to be 1.6 miles as per the Iphone computation. It is not a large concern, but there are some beautiful flowers here.
they had trays and trays of pansies. I could not photograph them all, so this few trays will have to suffice. The newspaper said that the weekend to go there would be April 21 but we are doing something else that day.
I have not seen Dahlias for a long time. They do not grow in Prescott to my knowledge. They grew well in my parents flower garden when I was growing up.
I was fascinated with the number of Cactus plants she had available for sale. to buy one and take it home would be rather self defeating - imagine trying to accommodate a prickly cactus plant 3,500 miles across the country. I don't think so.
Bouganvilla is available here. I was shocked to see it growing in this green house. I thought of it as a tender plant only suited for hot climates like Arizona or my home town, Toowoomba. they had lots of hanging baskets like the ones below. I think we will get some hanging baskets when we get back to Az and especially for the growing season next year.
