It rains a lot here. Should make all kinds of things grow; there's that word again "should". The spider still lives in my window and he 'should' be elsewhere because its slim pickings in the place he has built his web. I checked on him this morning and two miniscule bugs had come to grief in the web. One of them looked like a mosquito but I do not know how a mosquito is still alive in this cold weather. "It SHOULD snow tomorrow" was the send off we got today at the archives. Who said it SHOULD snow? Does the weather pattern take orders from mere mortals? I am happy that it is raining and can do without the snow, however, we do live in the snow belt and it really SHOULD be quite cold this time of year and loads of snow.
We got five reworks this week and it is quite disheartening. We SHOULD be doing better than that and we work to really eliminate the reworks. So, we called other missionaries - those in the field like ourselves and those who have already returned home. Found out a lot of things. For example, we SHOULD see to it that the cradle is totally still before proceeding. We SHOULD count 1-1000 2-10000 before we click the camera. We SHOULD see to it that our LSI is no more than 3 or 4 pixels wide. Perhaps if we had a magazine cover that had a border on it, we SHOULD be able to fine tune the focus of the camera by magnifying the right angle edge and we SHOULD be able to count the pixels a lot easier.
We talked to the other missionaries in this mission who are working in Vermont. They are having loads of trouble and they get almost 50% of their work back to re-work......We SHOULD be happy that our percentage is at 25 but we want to be without re-works. Mostly is it because of blurring or for out of focus so we will work so that we SHOULD be better.
So much for the doctrine of SHOULD.
