a much better day

today was a much better day than we had on Thursday.  I was able to go walking and I explored further in the neighborhood.  Found that a road we pass daily leads to a quaint little mobile home park.
I also found a hairdresser who has cut my locks to a more manageable length.  It has been 9 weeks since the last cut and I looked like I was wearing hat hair on a daily basis.
while Bill went to Best Buy to get the Geek Squad to clean off the stuff left on his Ipad2 by the original owner, I occupied myself at AC Moore craft store.  It is more like an upscale Ben Franklins with a touch of Michaels thrown in for good measure.  It does not carry furniture like Hobby Lobby or fabric like Hobby Lobby, but it has a good selection of just about everything a person could need.
I bought ribbon to put on our Christmas Tree  and some candy canes as decoration.  It will look a little sparse compared to our already decorated Christmas Tree that is on our hearth in Prescott, but it will do and help us capture the spirit of the season.
Last night there was a whizbang of a Christmas Party at the church.  Many of our peripherally active people came and a good time was had by all.  My contribution was Acorns - I took Hershey Kisses and used frosting to 'glue' caps on them (miniature Nilla Wafers) and then a little stalk on top of the wafer which was a white chocolate chip.  They all got eaten quickly.
