Poor plant and poor book - both damaged.

An ignominious end for a a brave plant.  How does it feel to be chucked unceremoniously into the trash can after months, or even years of faithful growth in the foyer of the Archives?  I felt sorry to see it in the trash, but I guess all good things come to an end sooner or later.
This is what our car saw as we trundled through the car wash.  It is by far the cleanest car in the parking lot at the archives right now.
This book is 19inches by 17 inches and posed the biggest problem to us for digitizing.  We ended up doing it as a single capture as it if was a book cover.
the book was severely damaged by water at one time or another and all the pages looked pretty much like this.  Below is Bill working on this most difficult book.  We had to clip every page to hold it in place before we clicked the camera.
