Since I have been on this mission I have been contacted by a distant relative in Australia and we have put flesh on the bones of the genealogy I had for her line. I have also made contact with two other distant cousins and my hope is that we can collaborate and put this family in proper perspective and correctness. the line I am now working on is the Lockyer line - my mother's line. In the past I have not had too much success with it but now, quite suddenly, I have been on contact with 4 distant relatives - so the 5 of us should be able to make a dent in the massive amounts of data that needs to be correlated and put into a cohesive collections of families.
It has made me quite happy to have this sudden influx of Lockyer information.
the missionary couple from Vermont came over to Augusta last night and came into the Archives this morning. We invited the young elders to come and see them because both of them had been in the Vermont area with this family history missionary couple. They had a wonderful reunion and catchup on member news.
We took them to Hattie's Chowder House in Hallowell for lunch, and then they left to return to Vermont.
this was a busy day but a good day all round.
