Almost done with September Term, York County

I wanted to have something exciting to happen every day. What could be more exciting than to drive to work and see more trees showing the changing colors of autumn.  I mentioned this to the locals and they said, “oh the leaves have not changed one bit” but I see that some trees have already dropped their leaves.  There always has to be someone to be first on the block to do something new.
I have been working on the York county records and have come to be within 2 hours of finishing the September 1807 court.  I wish the missing section could be found and I still have time to humidify it and get it flattened and written up before we leave.  It really feels strange to be so close to finishing the court session.
I went to have my hair cut this afternoon.  I really like this cosmetologist – he has magic in his fingers when he cuts hair.  I went to him with a chop job that had been done just before Christmas and it has taken 3 haircuts for it to get straightened out.  Mary, my cosmetologist in Prescott is anxious for me to be back.  I just hope that she allows me to keep the length I have in this cut – my head stays warmer as a result of having more hair.
I went visiting teaching this evening with Jennie and we visited Rose down in Hallowell.  Rose had promised us icecream and berries for tonight and that is just what we had - Fresh strawberries, and blueberries and raspberries with icecream.  Rose is very picky about her icecream – she insists on getting the Bryers Icecream that does not have corn sweetener in it.  I have never seen that before.
We stopped by the church for me to pick up my Relief society manual that I accidentally left at church on Sunday.  The place was alive with people – today is activity day.  We then went to visit one other lady and had a great chat with her.  She has a massive dog that they called “Moses”.  I swear that Moses grows larger each time we visit.
We are still in the process of changing addresses back to the Arizona one from the Augusta one.  Our mail will follow us across country and when we get home, we will have a pile of letters waiting for us.
