This is the number plate of a legislator. they can park anywhere and look where he was parked - in the handicap parking space. His car is also very dirty.
This is the fruit pizza that I made for the staff to celebrate Valentines Day
The inside of the Red Barn where we ate to celebrate Valentnes day. It is not a fancy place but it is a very busy place and popular among the locals.

Each Day, the Kennebec Journal has a page devoted to the “Police Blotter”. It is a listing of all the bad things that happened the day before. There is also a listing of the car accidents that took place. On the way home today we had to take a detour through the neighborhoods because a tractor trailer seems to have jackknifed in the middle of riverside drive – and it was rush hour…….Oh my. What a mess it turned out to be. I suppose it will be on the police blotter tomorrow or even front page news?
We came home and dropped our stuff and went down the road to the Red Barn. It is a local seafood restaurant. It is quite popular and you have to be there early in order to a) get a parking spot and b) have a table when you get your food order. We decided to go there for dinner this evening to celebrate Valentine’s Day. We ordered the Full Size seafood basket (to share) and we are glad that we did because there was way too much food for one person to eat. It consisted of fish, scallop, clams and shrimp. All of these morsels were batter dipped and then deep fried. Yep, this was definitely not a Weight Watchers meal. The place was packed to the walls with people.
I took a fruit pizza to the archives today for the staff to celebrate Valentine’s Day. I had to go on the internet to find a recipe for sugar cookie dough for the base. I do not have my Betty Crocker cook book with me so I am glad for the internet. That cookbook is about 40 years old and a few of the tabs have completely worn off. I doubt if it would have survived coming on a mission with us.
When we came back home after eating at the Red barn, we had been visited by the Valentine Fairy. There were little hearts all over our front door with messages written on them. It was a cute gesture and I suspect that it was done by the Young Women from church. We received a Valentine envelope from the Young Single Adults in Prescott last week and some personal messages were in there from former members of our ward who work with the YSA.
We went to Western Line Dance class tonight. It makes me laugh to be doing Western Line Dance here in the easternmost state of the nation – and they don’t even have Rodeo’s here. It is really hard to imagine the 4th July without a Rodeo going on. Well, they probably use their snowmobiles more there than they do horses and you just cannot do with snowmobiles what you can do with bucking horses in a Rodeo; Tough times this winter with no snow to even use the snowmobiles much if at all.
Bill went to get some stamps today and they handed him two sheets of Arizona Centennial stamps. I don’t know what my thought processes were, but I was under the impression that the Centennial stamps would only be on sale in Arizona! I must be losing it somewhere along the line.
