Addendum to Feb 13

To continue from Feb 13, 2012, at lunchtime Anne went out to the Dairy Queen and bought everyone a soft serve flurry with extra chocolate on it.  Life is short, you have to have dessert first, so my lunch went back into the fridge till later.
The elders stopped by to pick up their pictures that I took of them and to get the Lamingtons that I made for them.  They briefly met Anne and Rob who were in the room eating lunch with me.
A shuttle came today – it is amazing that it came this early but it came and it had the new program for the dCamX on it.  The new program is supposed to make it easier to see if the image is out of focus or not.  Well, it all looks pretty blurred to us no  matter what they say.  The books themselves are pretty fuzzy as well so I guess we will not be able to win this no matter what we say or do.
A few weeks ago I wrote to  a Mark Kelley in Australia regarding Ms. Baumgartner who married into the Lockyer line.  As it turns out he works for Family Search and he asked if we would consider going to Australia to digitize for him.  Bill said NO – enough it enough.  I did not think I would live long enough to hear him turn down a mission – well, after all, it is not a PAVEMENT POUNDER and that is what he wanted in the first place.  Digitizing is not quite his bag.  But to go to AUSTRALIA?  How could not not go?  Maybe he will change his mind.  I am envious that Mark Kelley got to go to Rootstech.  I would love to attend that conference.
The temperature this morning was 7degrees above Zero.  When we came home it was 17 degrees above Zero.  I went walking in that temperature and it was ok.  I guess this was so because the wind was not blowing.  If it had been windy, the wind chill factor would have been bitter.
They just had a big meeting in Prescott to realign the wards and so there are a lot of people moved from one ward to another etc.etc.  Our ward is slated to begin at 8am.  Now that IS the MIDDLE of the NIGHT!  I really doubt if Bill can get up that early to be there at 8am to play the organ………………  In January our meeting time will move to 10am then in 2014 we will meet at Noon and in 2015 we will meet at the dreaded 2pm hour.  That one is a killer for families with little kids.  Us older folks will just doze peacefully through the afternoon meetings….along with the small fry whose nap time is around 2pm.
Yesterday I was really glad to reconnect with Vicki Gougenhour.  She now lives in North Carolina.  They have said that we might have to go to North Carolina if there is no work here for us to do.  Wowee – this mission takes more turns than a whirling dervish.
Can put this addendum up because someone in our complex has an open hot spot.  We are limited until Feb 19 when our subscription is refurbished by Verizon.  We have 2 gig per month but when Bill watches political process of caucus in Iowa etc. it eats up the usage.   Piggy back is ok if there is an open connection I am told.
