This past weekend was a three day weekend. It was not too exciting for me because Bill was working on the Taxes all weekend.
One good thing happened and that was I found a hairdresser who knows his stuff and I had my hair cut. The girl who “attacked my hair” 2 weeks before Christmas really did a messy job. I waited all this time before going to a beautician who could fix it. There were areas he had to ‘tiptoe’ around and the next cut should be closer to getting all my locks in great shape. I like what he was able to do and it feels really good. That probably sounds crazy, but when my hair is not sitting well, my head feels bad and when I have a good haircut, my head feels great.
Today was the first day back at work. I woke up this morning having a nightmare about the digitizing. My biggest worry was that when the computer asked us to start where we left off, that the innards of the computer would have forgotten what we did up to that time and that the same settings would not work. The camera is giving us fits. Each day last week it would black out at least 4 times per day or more. Today it blacked out 15 times. When I say black out, I am talking about the image screen going black when we are trying to use it. Sometimes it goes black if we pause 5 minutes, even 20 seconds has been the shortest time but it never ceases to amaze me that it happens with such frequency. I really think that the camera is going bad but they cost a fortune in the first place and I cannot see them just blithely sending us another camera.
We had a hard time finding a place to park this morning because the legislature is back in session. They have their designated parking stalls in the parking lot, but they sometimes prefer to park on the outer perimeter - less likely to have their tires deflated or slashed etc. by irate citizens. We are getting better at negotiating the traffic circles. By the time we really become adept, it will be time to leave.
Nina brought in a big container of chocolate chip cookies - I wonder if that was her contribution to Fat Tuesday?
