How today went

We had lunch with Ann and Anthony today but after Anthony left the lunch room, Ann asked us if we would like to go to her home to watch the superbowl.  This is more than we ever thought we would have extended to us.  We will go to be sure because Ann  has become a good friend.
I told her that we would have an Australia Day party on Jan 26.  Told her what I was planning to have and she asked if she could participate.  I told her that she was not Australian , but that we could make an allowance.
We have not heard from David so no news is good news I suppose.
We did the two reworks today and my hand is starting to hurt from having to use the huge bulldog clips that they have for us to use to hold the pages.  I do hope that we soon have books that are able to be put in the cradle in the next batch of digitizing work.  Squeezing these intense clips open and then close over the pages to hold them while capturing the image is harder on my hand than doing English Paper Piecing for my quilt.
Even though the days are getting longer, we still go to work in the dark and come home in the dark.  It gets pretty discouraging.  A warning light was on in the car and we took it to a dealer and he said we needed more air in the tires.  There was a long line of cars leading into this dealership and we wondered if they were all being returned for a refund...............but no, they were all waiting for their turn to go through the car wash.  I think that it is a waste of time to have the car washed because in two days time we are expecting to have another whopper of a snow storm.  We'll wait and see - they keep threatening us with monster snow storms and we have only had one that was worth writing about.
I wonder if the Legislators are intrepid enough to stay in session if the weather turns really sour as they are forecasting?  We'll see!.
There is a limit to what people will do...............and legislators are people too!
