David is not doing well. He has stopped going to church and has been doing all he can to move out of the group home. He was to go to the home in Snowflake but we have been told that the manager there has some issues that have not been cleared up after her last client left.
He called up today with high tension in his voice. He was at wits end what to do because the powers that be were set to be at the group home to discuss his move or not move from this placement. He was almost in tears I could tell from the tone of his voice and his tension level was truly worrisome to me. In the past he has done some pretty self destructive stuff when he has been at this level of stress and he has also been destructive to others and to things around him.
I get really worried when he gets to this fever pitch with stress, so I told him to go into his room , shut the door, pray to Heavenly Father for peace in his heart and the ability to cope with this stress filled meeting that he was to attend. He asked us if we could participate by phone. He has the same phone service we have so it does not cost us minutes.
The upshot of the meeting is that by Friday he will move to another placement in the west valley. I hope that he is happy there.
We cannot go visit him and he cannot come here and I hope that we did our best by him on the phone today.
I'm sure you did, and it sounds like the best advice ever. Poor guy--hope that things work out for him so that he can be somewhat happy. (and his parents too.)
