Trying to get over exhaustion

Yes, after driving all those days, we are suffering from exhaustion.  So, we slept in this morning.  Probably the last time we will get to do so for the coming year.  But, sleep in we did till 7.30am.
When we got here our bed was in two pieces and still in the plastic.  So we were told that a bed frame was coming so for two nights we slept on the box and mattress on the floor.  The bed frame came today and now the bed is a lot higher - like sleeping with the stars or something.
Our mail has finally caught up with us and it was a pile of stuff to be sure.  Then our 'hot spot' went out and the other shoe dropped this evening when I went to do the laundry - both washers are full of coins and cannot accept more until someone comes to clean them out.
For those of you who do not know what a hot spot is - it is a paid service from Verizon that allows us to have access to the internet anywhere Verizon covers and so when some motels wanted us to pay a fee to use their internet (like the truck stop in Erie, Pa) then we just kicked in the hot spot and we were on the internet. It is easier to use than trying to have internet service set up since we use cell phones only now.
I am curious to know who is reading my blog.  It has been accessed almost 700 times since I started to write and there are readers in Russia, Denmark, England, Australia (I know most of them there), Hong Kong, Egypt, the Netherlands and Spain plus a few others I cannot remember.
If you so desire, please comment so that I can get to know who is reading the blog.
Tomorrow we plan to visit the state archives and introduce ourselves to the workers there.  Our trainer will be working with us on Monday so I guess it would be a great time to get to see what supplies are there and what is needed for our labors to begin.
I really miss my grandchildren and they will be taller than knee high to grasshoppers by the next time I see them.  Jacob is planning on a Post doc and perhaps it will be overseas for two years...............oy vey!

  1. I try to read your blog about once a week to stay caught up. I really enjoy it. I love hearing about your mission. (Barbara Murdock in Austin, TX)
